The Cottage
The cottage is situated in the historic town of Llanidloes in central Wales, midway between Welshpool and Aberystwyth. It is an old market town proudly displaying its ancient market hall which now houses a museum. The building is first recorded in 1776 and has had many lives. Most recently it was a sweetie shop and there are many stories from local people who, as children, used their Sunday school money to buy sweets on their way to church next door.
It was sympathetically restored in the early 1990's by the current owners to provide good accessible facilities. It is the perfect base for anyone who walks, cycles or those who just want a quiet get away. There are a range of places to eat and shops to buy food to prepare back in the cottage.
The Garden
The garden is maintained and offers space to sit, chat or have a meal. It also has the luxury of covered space for those Welsh weather days! The whole area provides space for children to play whilst adults prepare a picnic for a day out.
There is also lockable space for cycles, pushchairs etc.
